Jalopy Theatre is the best place for an NYC small wedding!
Jalopy Theatre is the best place for an NYC small wedding. If you are looking for an affordable and unique place to host your NYC small wedding, look no further. Simply stated, this place is amazing and is absolutely one of our most favorite places to recommend for a small wedding venue location.
Husband and wife team Geoff and Lynette Wiley founded Jalopy in Red Hook, Brooklyn, in 2006 with the dream of creating an amazing artistic and musical space. It has become a second home to many traditional American musicians. Jalopy Theatre supports both local and traveling artists and has an amazing children’s music program. And believe it or not, their first event was their own wedding!!!
Why this space? Because it is beautiful and unique. With natural wood floors, a stage for your ceremony, church-like pews for your guests, and romantic lighting, your NYC small wedding will be so unique and gorgeous. Your guests will be astounded by the sense of kindness and community projected by the owners. You will naturally feel at home. Featured in the New York Times, it is consistently mentioned as a must-see place in NYC.
Jalopy has delicious and affordable catering options as well as well as beer/wine open bar options. Their food is a fantastic organic blend of recipes. And at $350/hour for a Friday and Saturday night rental, you absolutely cannot go wrong here. To book Jalopy, let us know and we will put you in touch with them or book directly with them. Just let them know that NY1 Minute weddings sent you!
Jalopy is a very special place for us. They hosted our first NYC Exhibition party which is an international photography contest that promotes worldwide artistic community. Always doing great things for the community, the vibe at Jalopy is warm and caring.
Jalopy gets our vote for one of Brooklyn’s very best small wedding venues and we strongly encourage you to check it out! They have amazing live music if you just want to stop by and see a show!
