The Jazz Age Lawn Party

This event is a spectacular 1920s soiree that is located at the Colonel’s Row on Governors Island. Take a ferry ride, and visit this famous event, with thousands other attendees dressed to the 1920s period costumes. Be the part of this throwback time machine, enjoy Jazz music and try bunch of diverse cocktails. We can say for sure that this jazz event is definitely something worthy. The Jazz Age Lawn Party will be held during two weekends in the summer. The first weekend is June 11 and June 12, 2017 and the second weekend is August 26 and August 27, 2017. The event time is from 11am till 5pm.

Shakespeare in the Park

Every summer, New York city offers one of the best free things to do in NYC: Shakespeare in the Park. The Public Theater produces a beloved NYC democratic tradition. It is presented at the open Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The Delacorte Theater is an open-air amphitheater placed on the southwest corner of the Great Lawn in Central Park, closest to the entrance at 81st Street and Central Park West. But Shakespeare in the Park’s popularity means that tickets aren’t easy to come by. Tickets to Shakespeare in the Park are FREE and are distributed at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. This festival has become popular with both New York natives and visitors to the city and only the most perseverant will be able to secure seats. Around 80,000 people attend Shakespeare in the Park every year. All performances begin at 8pm.

Midsummer Night Swing

Midsummer Night Swing takes place at Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center. This event is all about dancing. It lasts three weeks from June 27, 2017 till July 15, 2017. Important information for everyone is that group dance lessons start at 6:30-7:15pm. You have to buy ticket also for this event.

Midsummer Night Swing is specific because it represents dance event with different genre of dance, disco, ballroom, salsa and more. You can also attend a late-night Silent Disco on some nights! It is also good known that you should book tickets in advance and get there when the dance floor opens at 6pm because of the crowd.

Summer Streets NYC

This year Summer Streets happens on three Saturdays during August. On August 5, 12 and 19, 2017 and the time is from 7am to 1pm. This summer fun is located on Lafayette Street and Park Avenue. There are thousands of people interested to bike, run and SLIDE down the streets of New York! Real Summer oasis in the heart of New York. You shouldn’t miss that kind of fun. The most popular thing in this event is a giant water slide, in addition to other forms of entertainment like rock climbing wall, zipline, outdoor art installations, misting stations…

SummerStage 2017

This event takes place at mainstage in Central Park, situated at Rumsey Playfield. It has not been thrown the entire program for this year yet. There are no tickets for this kind of event. It’s completely free. There are a large number of performances at the popular SummerStage mainstage in Central Park. When you ask music fans in New York City, they will say to you that SummerStage is always some of the most visited happenings in this city. There are events happening almost every day of the summer both free and paid concerts, dance parties, theater, ballet, live poetry and an outdoor opera series.
